Our Commitment
MyTow is committed to providing a website and request experience that is usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to remove barriers to access and to improve accessibility over time.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Where we identify barriers, we work to address them, and we welcome feedback that helps us do so.
Accessibility Standards
Where applicable, we aim to align with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, O. Reg. 191/11, including the accessibility standards that apply to our website and digital content.
Our goal is to work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA as the technical benchmark for our web content.
Digital Accessibility on MyTow
We work to make key parts of the platform usable with assistive technology and keyboard navigation, including the ability to move through content, reach controls and understand page structure.
We aim to support accessible interactions such as clear labels, adequate contrast, visible focus states and sensible reading order across the main pages and the request experience.
Assistive Technology Support
Our website is designed to work with current versions of common browsers and widely used assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnification tools.
If you encounter a barrier using a specific assistive technology, please let us know so we can look into it and provide assistance.
Feedback and Accommodation
We welcome feedback on accessibility and requests for accommodation. You can contact support at info@mytow.ca to tell us about a barrier or to ask for an accessible alternative way to access our services.
Where possible, we will work with you to provide the information or assistance you need in an accessible format or through an alternative method.
Known Limitations
Some third-party embedded content or tools may not fully meet the same accessibility standard as our own pages. Where we rely on such tools, we aim to provide alternative ways to access the underlying information.
We continue to review and improve the platform and will update this statement as changes are made.
Ongoing Improvement
We review our accessibility practices and consider accessibility as part of changes to the website and request experience. Feedback from users plays an important role in prioritizing improvements.
