Pricing
How MyTow Pricing Works
Service pricing can depend on the type of help you need, your vehicle, location, towing distance and the circumstances of the request. MyTow helps you begin the request process with the information needed to determine the applicable service details.
Why isn't there one price for every service?
The cost of towing, roadside assistance or vehicle transport can vary because not every service request is the same. The required service, vehicle, pickup location, destination, distance and circumstances can all affect the amount that applies to a request.
MyTow is designed to collect the relevant request details so the appropriate service information can be determined before the job proceeds.
Pricing factors
What can affect the cost of service?
No two requests are identical. These are the details that determine the service and the amount that applies.
Service type
The kind of help required — such as towing, battery boost, flat tire assistance, vehicle lockout, fuel delivery or vehicle transport.
Vehicle
Vehicle size, condition and service requirements may affect the equipment or service needed.
Pickup location
The location of the vehicle and accessibility of the pickup point can affect the service required.
Towing distance
For towing or vehicle transport, the destination and travel distance may affect the applicable amount.
Service circumstances
The condition and position of the vehicle, or additional work reasonably required to complete the service, can affect pricing.
Applicable charges
Applicable taxes and other authorized service charges may be included where permitted and properly disclosed.

Understanding the amount
Estimate, service details and final invoice
Knowing what each stage represents helps you avoid surprises when your service is complete.
Estimate / service information
The amount shown while arranging your request
An estimate or initial service amount reflects the information available when the request is being arranged. Where an estimate is required, applicable Ontario requirements govern how it must be provided.
Final invoice
The amount for services actually provided
The final invoice reflects the services actually provided and applicable authorized charges. For towing services subject to Ontario law, the required invoice and pricing rules continue to apply.
If the service circumstances change, any additional work or charges must still comply with applicable disclosure, authorization and legal requirements.
Ontario towing
Ontario towing pricing includes customer protections.
Ontario regulates towing and vehicle-storage pricing through the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act and related regulations.
In plain language, that means rates must be published before they are charged, consent must be informed, and you should receive the required invoice. You can read the current official guidance for drivers: Ontario towing and vehicle storage requirements.
What drivers should know
- Towing operators submit maximum rates for the services they provide.
- Operators cannot charge more than the applicable published maximum rate.
- Services generally must appear on the operator's maximum-rate schedule before they can be charged.
- Tow operators must provide the applicable maximum-rate schedule when requesting consent to tow.
- Towing operators generally must provide the required invoice before charging or demanding payment.
- Customers cannot be charged for towing or storage services that were not actually provided.
